INSPIRATION
The design takes its cues from a fragment of an 11th-century carved and painted terracotta frieze in The Met collection, excavated from the Tepe Madrasa Mosque complex in Nishapur, Iran. Its star-and-polygon lattice, originally painted in deep reds and blues, is reinterpreted through the lamp’s geometric framework, translating a historic architectural motif into a contemporary lighting piece.
